Eine offene Gesellschaft braucht Freunde! Das Montagscafé ist ein interkultureller Treffpunkt und Forum des Austauschs für alle Bürger*innen aus der Stadt und der Region. Wir beschäftigen uns mit Migration und Kultur nicht nur theoretisch, sondern leben sie. Popkultur, Subkultur, Esskultur, Filmkultur, Tanz, Theater, Comic – unsere Kultur lebt von Wanderungsprozessen und das Montagscafé ist mitten drin.
Um 15.00 Uhr bieten wir ein Frauencafé mit Kinderbetreuung und von 17.00 bis 22.00 Uhr das Offene Café, in dem wöchentlich wechselnde Abendveranstaltungen stattfinden. Unter dem Titel OUR STORIES 2021 legen wir einen Schwerpunkt auf eine Workshop- und Veranstaltungsreihe, in der wir unsere Wanderungsgeschichten künstlerisch und diskursiv erkunden und dazu verschiedene Künstler*innen und Expert*innen einladen. Der Eintritt zu allen Veranstaltungen des Montagscafés ist frei – Yalla!

Montagscafé is an intercultural meeting place and forum for exchange open to all citizens of Dresden and the surrounding region. We don’t just look at migration und culture from a theoretical perspective – we put them into living, breathing, chatting and laughing practice! From pop culture, subculture and food culture to film culture, dance, theatre and comics, our culture is nourished by migration processes – and Montagscafé is right at the heart of it all.
At 15:00 we offer a Women’s Café with childcare. From 17:00 to 22:00 the Open Café welcomes guests with a programme of evening events that changes each week. OUR STORIES 2021 is the title of a series of events and workshops in which we join visiting artists and experts in an exploration of Stories of migration with artistic and discursive approaches. All our events are free – Yalla!
